With Scape It, we want to make aquascaping more accessible for beginners and provide experienced aquascapers with a professional planning tool. We, too, faced the challenge of bringing our aquascaping ideas to life when we started this hobby. That’s how the idea for Scape It was born. We hope you enjoy the project and that it helps you explore and realize your ideas!
Scape It is a digital aquascaping design tool and layout planner that lets you develop your own aquarium layouts quickly and intuitively. In the drag-and-drop editor, you can place hardscape, plants, and substrate without having to draw anything yourself. That way, you can visualize your ideas directly, try out different variations, and see how your layout looks before you actually set it up in your aquarium.
Additional features like grids, guidelines, layers, and an automatic shopping list help you plan your drafts clearly and turn them into reality later on.
Scape It is designed for both aquascaping beginners and experienced aquascapers. For newcomers, the design tool offers an easy way into creating their own layouts and helps them gain first experience with plants, hardscape, and different design options.
Experienced aquascapers can use Scape It to quickly visualize ideas, try out different variations, and work out layouts down to the last detail. That means Scape It works both for taking your first steps and for the concrete planning of ambitious aquascapes.
The Scape It aquascaping design tool works directly in your browser and can be used on both desktop and mobile. Your layout is built step by step, following the typical aquascaping workflow: first you choose the right tank size, then you lay out the substrate, and finally you design your layout with hardscape and plants.
All elements can be placed, moved, duplicated, and edited by drag and drop. Features like templates, the layer editor, grids, and guidelines help you develop even more complex layouts while keeping things organized. The shopping list then lets you see at a glance which materials and quantities you need for your planned layout.
Scape It helps you turn an idea into a concrete aquarium layout. You can try out different plant and hardscape combinations, compare variations, and see the effect of your design directly — even before you buy any materials or set up your aquarium.
This lets you playfully get familiar with the possibilities of plants, stones, and roots, and refine your layout step by step. Grids and guidelines support you in deliberately developing proportions and composition.
Scape It also helps with your preparation: you can pin down your design idea before you even go shopping, and use the shopping list to keep track of which materials you need and in what quantity.
Our goal is to lower the barrier to entry into aquascaping while giving you the tools to bring your own ideas to life as accurately as possible.
Scape It takes a different approach than an AI: you develop your layout yourself. Instead of having a finished aquascape generated for you, Scape It gives you the tools to try out your own ideas, change them, and develop them step by step into a finished layout.
Because that's exactly what aquascaping is about: having your own vision, experimenting with different possibilities, and ultimately creating something yourself. Scape It supports you in turning your ideas and vision into a concrete aquarium layout — the design stays entirely in your hands.
